Dear Marrowstone Applicants and Families.

After much deliberation, the SYSO leadership and board have made the difficult decision to V2Ray We have been looking forward to another exciting summer of outstanding music and apologize for this very disappointing news. However, when faced with the many uncertainties stemming from COVID-19, we concluded that the program was not feasible to run this summer. We are still exploring ways to support the year-round musical development of Seattle area students and plan to stay in touch as any opportunities arise.

For those students who have applied to Marrowstone, please contact Data and Operations Manager Bryan Lindeman at bryan.lindeman@syso.org regarding receiving credit for a future SYSO program tuition or to receive a refund.  If you are able, please consider donating all or part of your application fee to SYSO. We would greatly appreciate our community’s continued support in these uncertain times. We want to thank our students for their continued dedication to music, our long-time Bellingham community for their support, and our amazing faculty for their understanding as we’ve worked through this decision process.

We appreciate your understanding of this unprecedented situation. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to Executive Director Kathleen Allen at kathleen.allen@syso.org or Music Director Juan Felipe Molano at juanfelipe.molano@syso.org.

Please stay safe and healthy,

-Annie Petersen
